Abram Miller
Son of Daniel and Sarah Miller, was born Oct 20, 1875 in Darke County,
Ohio and passed away at his home in Bryan, Ohio, March 4, 1953 at the age
of 7 years, 4 months and 12 days. The early part of his life was spent
in Mercer county, Ohio.
On Sept. 24, 1899, he was united in marriage to Mary E. Good, in
Indiana, moving later to North Dakota. To this union three children were
born, Samuel D, Mabel, Cora. Sis. Miller departed this life, March 9,
1905. On Jan. 29, 1908 his marriage to Eva Eikenberry at Williston,
North dakota was solemnized. To this union were born four children,
Gladys, Isaac, Mary and Paul. Sis. Miller departed this life, Aug. 16,
1943. Two daughters, Mabel and Cora preceded him in death, also, three
sisters. Those left to mourn his death are: Samuel, Crystal Springs,
Fla; Gladys and Mary of Bryan, Ohio; Isaac and Paul of Michigan City,
Ind; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; two brothers, Isaac of
Hempstead, Md.; Sam of Fruitvale, Ala; one sister, Katie Elsea of
Albuquerque, N.M. and two stepbrothers, John of Ohio and Jake of Alabama.
On Jan 31, 1892, he united with the Dunkard Brethren church and remained
faithful to the end. In the year 1901 he was elected to the deacon's
office and served in that capacity until 1906, at which time he was
elected to the ministry. In May, 1919 he was ordained to the eldership
and fulfilled this office to the best of his ability, always proclaiming
to humanity the Faith of the Gospel for which he so nobly stood.
